How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.  James 4:14 NLT Hey Everyone, this month we will like to share something that God spoke to our lives. At the beginning of the month we had plans to meet with a couple from the church to have dinner. As we were waiting outside for them to arrive, suddenly, we heard gunshots. When we thought it was all over, the shooting continued more intensely. Everyone immediately ducked down and got inside the restaurant as fast as they could.  We rushed upstairs, got on our knees and started to pray, asking God for everyone's safety. We later found out that a man was murdered and his wife was rushed in to the hospital. Neither of us had experienced anything like this, but God allowed us to realize that tomorrow is not promised for anyone. Everyday is truly a gift from heaven. We can get so caught up with our busy lives, that we forget to stop and thank

September Praise & Prayer

Image
Hello everyone. The month of September has been the most devastating month. It breaks our heart to see what others here in México are going through after being hit by 2 major earthquakes and hurricanes hit all around the world.  We continue to pray that the Lord may bring peace and hope to all those who are going through these hard times. We ask that you may continue to keep México in your prayers. Last month Hurricane Lydia hit ground and made some damage in Los Cabos, México. This is a 2-hour drive from where we currently live. Many buildings were destroyed and lives were taken. We thank God for His protection. We only received a strong tropical storm and everyone was okay. The church came together to donate to those in need down in Los Cabos, MX. After 8 months of preparation, we finally have students around. This has been such a blessing to my wife and me. Being able to serve them has been a privilege.   These 11 months are going to be challenging.  We will be able to l

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18  Hello Friends and Family! I must say, I miss you all. I have been missing a lot of things from the U.S. recently. (Especially IN-N-OUT, and Donuts) 😋 I am also missing being close to my growing family. I still haven't met my new baby nephew Landon. But after being away from the states for almost 3 years, Mexico has become my new home and I am grateful that God has called me to this wonderful country. Every day I am learning more about the language and culture. And I know that He continues to prepare my wife and I for greater things for His Glory. It amazes me how quickly I've picked up Spanish and all the Glory goes to God! Last month I had the privilege to translate 2 services!  I appreciate all those who normally translate every week. It is NOT an easy task! Pray that God continues to equip me to use me in this ministry. A few weeks ago, we shar

JULY NEWSLETTER

Image
Hi this is Luisa! This time it's my turn to share our newsletter! Last month, we shared with you the difficult times that we were going through. For us it seemed like it was one thing after another. God has always been faithful to hold us through these big and small trails. Through all of this, He took care of us and taught us many things: With the car accident, I was so worried we couldn’t pick up some of the kids for youth group. The car door didn't open. But it was fun to jump in and out of the window, no big deal, it still works. On top of that our engine was starting to fail. But God has been faithful to meet our needs. Someone generously gave to help us repair the damage.  Our car is now running well and the door now opens. God took care of it. We struggled in our marriage over small things. It has been tough to die to yourself every single day. But we’ve seen how we grow to love one another after communicating and seeing what we can do to improve & gl

June Update

In all this you greatly rejoice,   though now for a little while   you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.   7  These have come so that the proven genuineness   of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor   when Jesus Christ is revealed 1 Peter 1:6-7 This month has been one of the toughest months we have ever had as missionaries down here in Mexico. Yet, we know that the Lord has been taking care of us every step of the way and is always faithful. Home A few weeks ago, God provided an open door for us to live closer to La Huerta campus. In our last house, the commute was 20 minutes to get to work every day. Now it only takes us 3 minutes! We only had a couple of weeks to move out of our old place before the contract ended.  The landlord from our previous house was being difficult with us, but God provided a way to make an agreement and we were able to leave the house in peace.

Calvary Chapel La Paz Our Church is Full -  It fills us with so much joy to   see the congregation growing at Calvary Chapel La Paz. The Lord has been faithful to bring new members to our church.   Blessing Friends and Family,                 The month of April was a busy month! But we have sure enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you for sending out your prayers.  We pray for every one of you on Tuesdays, so please send us any prayer request that you may have.  Calvary Chapel La Paz- The Church is on Fire It’s been so good to see the unity in our church. After some changes were made, they chose to leave trouble behind, abide in the Lord and be used by Him. Friday Night of Prayer Last month our church got together to pray every friday. We went before the Lord to ask for guidance in our upcoming ministries and events. It was amazing to see the members of the church to come out and join us.  It was even a bigger blessing for us to get to share and hear the needs of other brothers and sisters in Christ.   My wife and I could say that it was very much needed in our life during that time.  And we can see how gracious and loving our Heavenly Father has been to our fam

Hello Family and Friends, Here we are again updating you with what the Lord has been doing in our family this year! We LOVE to hear back from everyone receiving these emails! So please reply if you have a chance and let us know if you are getting our newsletters! Every Tuesday morning, we pray for every one of you! Send us a message back if you have any specific prayer requests! WE MOVED! …  AGAIN, BACK TO LA PAZ! The Lord, once again, has been faithful to answer our prayers. As many of you know, my wife’s job ended November of last year. God immediately opened doors for us to join a new ministry down in La Paz.  This is the same city where I was able to help plant a church three years ago! It took us 20 hours to drive down here, but with your prayers and God’s protection we made it down here safely.  A few days after arriving God provided a home for us!  After 2 months of settling in we have finally been able to visit the beautiful beaches here!  If you and your fam
