June Update

In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed
1 Peter 1:6-7

This month has been one of the toughest months we have ever had as missionaries down here in Mexico. Yet, we know that the Lord has been taking care of us every step of the way and is always faithful.
Home
A few weeks ago, God provided an open door for us to live closer to La Huerta campus. In our last house, the commute was 20 minutes to get to work every day. Now it only takes us 3 minutes! We only had a couple of weeks to move out of our old place before the contract ended.  The landlord from our previous house was being difficult with us, but God provided a way to make an agreement and we were able to leave the house in peace.

Family
We had the opportunity to have my Dad and Taylor come and stay with us for a week.  I received some surprising news when they were here and I ask that you may keep me and all my family in your prayers.

Please be in prayer for our finances
A day after my family left, I received mail from the IRS on how much I need to pay for taxes. Please pray that God will help us to administrate what he has given us, to be able to pay off this debt. Also, Last Sunday my wife had a small car accident! Don’t worry, she was not injured in anyway, but the car suffered some damage. We are going to have to get the whole passenger door fixed or even completely replaced. Please pray for our finances. With these unexpected expenses, things are getting a little tight.
Calvary Chapel La Paz
In the midst of all these trials, some exciting things happened and we have kept our focus on all the good things God continues to do in us and His church. 28 of us graduated Pillars Class and are ready to start serving in one of the many areas in the church.  It’s exciting to see the congregation stepping up to be part of a ministry.

Church remodeling
Last Saturday we had members of the church come out to clean and paint the building It was very much needed. It was a pleasant time of fellowship and working all together to make the building look a little better.

Leadership
We were asked to join the Leadership team at the church and become the Leaders of the Multimedia Ministry in the church. We are in charge of the Sound booth, slides, making graphics for sermons, and Social Media in the church.

Worship
I have recently joined the worship team for the Wednesday night service. It always brings me joy to worship the Lord and to help lead his people.
Youth Group
This summer we want to plan activities so we can encourage the youth to bring out some friends and have a time of fellowship.

La Huerta
We are only weeks away for the arrival of the students here at La Huerta. We have enjoyed working alongside this ministry. It has been a time of learning new areas. I have had to take on a lot of responsibilities in administration.
We have had a couple of staff members, Dalvin and Claudia, going out to the colonies around the city to see how the future students could help and contribute to their needs.

We are thankful and very much appreciate all your prayers and support.
Prayer Request:
·         Manage our time wisely. Home, Church, and La Huerta.
·         Church continues in unity.
·         La Huerta Students.  Lord provides for all their financial needs to come to this school.
·         La Huerta – Dalvin and Claudia find new ways to help this city.
·         Finances - IRS Debt

·         Finances - Fix the car

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
