Hey Everyone, this month we will like to share something that God spoke to our lives. At the beginning of the month we had plans to meet with a couple from the church to have dinner. As we were waiting outside for them to arrive, suddenly, we heard gunshots. When we thought it was all over, the shooting continued more intensely. Everyone immediately ducked down and got inside the restaurant as fast as they could. We rushed upstairs, got on our knees and started to pray, asking God for everyone's safety. We later found out that a man was murdered and his wife was rushed in to the hospital. Neither of us had experienced anything like this, but God allowed us to realize that tomorrow is not promised for anyone. Everyday is truly a gift from heaven. We can get so caught up with our busy lives, that we forget to stop and thank God for our daily breath.  


Pray for the City of La Paz, Mexico. Lately, there have been some cartel issues. We have never experienced something so horrifying. Some of our friends from church were sharing with us that this happens around their home quite frequently. Even during the day, in the middle of supermarkets.


But in the midst of all this, God continues to do amazing things.


La Huerta School of Misiones - It has been a great first month of the school year! It’s so gratifying to see how the students are growing & how God shows us how we could serve them better.


Calvary Chapel La Paz- The Lord is also doing some awesome things at our church! Pretty soon the church will go to a second service! Pray that God guides the pastor and leaders in these upcoming changes. A couple of weeks, two of our brothers stepped up in obedience to be baptized. The new young-adult ministry (KALEO), has done so well. The Lord has great plans for this group. Please pray for guidance as the Lord has placed us to help coordinate the group. Next week, the church will go out to a hospital to evangelize. We will be able to share hope found in Jesus to those who are going through tough times.


Personal - God has truly taken care of us in every way. Our situation with the IRS has been taken care of. PRAISE GOD! We are also very happy to finally be all moved in to our new little home!  Thank you so much for your constant prayers, support and words of encouragement. Please feel free to message us. Hello all! I figured since I've been a missionary for over two years it was about time to write an update on what the Lord has been doing in Mexico, and in my life personally! Because this is my first newsletter, I want to give a quick background to what I have been up to for the past 2 years here in Mexico. ROSARITO On January 10th, 2014, God called me to Mexico. For six months I was in Rosarito, Mexico, serving at a church as an intern. Alongside six other guys, my responsibility was to clean the church, set up for events and bible studies, and be available to serve whenever possible. This was a really good time of humbling for me. JANUARY 2019

2019 has finally arrived and this month we celebrate 5 years of serving here in Mexico! We are so joyful for all that God has done these wonderful years. I do apologize for not writing updates for the past few months, but I would like to catch you up on some things that happened last year Blake: As many of you know last year I was praying about starting school in the Pastorship Training program here in La Paz. Well, in September of 2018 I began school. It has been such an amazing blessing to be able study the word of God, and I have learned so much.  Part of this program is that we get to do a Biblical Analysis. We go through every book of the bible and write a paragraph analysis for every major character, place, and event in the book. This is extremely time consuming and difficult, but I have personally seen what a huge blessing it is to dig through and study deeply in the scriptures. GRADUATING FROM BIBLE COLLEGE

• SUMMER UPDATE • It has been a while since I last wrote a newsletter. So much has been going on and I would like to share that with you. After a year and a half  I finally graduate from La Huerta - Missions & Pastoral Ministry school. I could not be more thankful for everything that the Lord has taught  me and has allowed me to be part of. During this time I began to appreciate more the work of ministry. When entering this program my only desire was to learn more about His word and be able to share that with others and do ministry in a more effective way. I am grateful for all the teachers from here and those who traveled from far away to invest time to share their experiences and wisdom with us. My classmates inspired me so much in so many areas and I have the honor to be representing our class today as valedictorian. Through them God has graciously shown what ministry is all about.
