September Praise & Prayer
Hello everyone. The month of September has been the most devastating month. It breaks our heart to see what others here in México are going through after being hit by 2 major earthquakes and hurricanes hit all around the world. We continue to pray that the Lord may bring peace and hope to all those who are going through these hard times. We ask that you may continue to keep México in your prayers.
Last month Hurricane Lydia hit ground and made some damage in Los Cabos, México. This is a 2-hour drive from where we currently live. Many buildings were destroyed and lives were taken. We thank God for His protection. We only received a strong tropical storm and everyone was okay. The church came together to donate to those in need down in Los Cabos, MX.
After 8 months of preparation, we finally have students around. This has been such a blessing to my wife and me. Being able to serve them has been a privilege. These 11 months are going to be challenging. We will be able to learn from each other, grow together and make a change for the kingdom of God. We will continue to keep you updated on what is going on here on campus.
The Lord is increasing the numbers at Calvary Chapel La Paz. We are thrilled to see the body inviting people and sharing. This month 4 people accepted Jesus for the very first time, and many of them had been attending our services for months. It is also exciting to see others step up and serve! God is doing some pretty awesome things with His people here in La Paz.
Thank you to all of those who pray for us. Also to those who didn’t hesitate to see if we were okay during the hurricane. We know that God has taken control of every situation. May he continue using all of us for His purpose.
On October 7th, we will have our first Young Adults group. Please keep this new ministry in prayer. Louie and I will be coordinating this group. Our desire is that the Lord raises up people within this group to eventually take over and lead.
We are moving out… again!! The Lord has been so good to us and has shown how deeply he cares for us in all circumstances. The next 3 months we will be living on the school campus. As we shared in our last newsletters, our financial situation was getting a little tough because of taxes. This will help us in so many ways to get back on our feet. During this time, we will be looking for a new home. Please pray as we wait for God to open a new place for us.
We ask that you may send your prayer request. We would love to hear from all of you!
